I received my Associates of Applied Science in Therapeutic Massage / Integrated Healthcare from Finger Lakes Community College May 2014. I received my New York state massage license and registration to practice massage in October of 2014. I have over 1 and a half years experience working at spas in the Rochester, NY area. I started massage therapy as a new career after having worked as a medical laboratory technician for over 20 years. A few years ago, family members including myself, struggled with medical issues which caused me to lose a little faith in Western medicine. I started to look at complimentary medicines out of curiosity and as an alternative. At this same point in my life I had realized I had gone as far as I wanted to in the medical laboratory field and I wanted a new career path. I started reading about the Eastern philosophies of self care and traditional Chinese medicine. I also found information about massage therapy to be very interesting, and the rest as they say, is history.
I am certified in Hot Stone Massage, and have extensive training in Active Isolated Stretching, and Sports Massage.
